Have you had your green beer yet?!

Well first off Happy St. Patrick’s Day! If you haven’t had that green beer that’s okay there’s plenty of time left!

I usually choose not to wear the specific color to commemorate the holiday, but I looked in my closet and found these springy green pants I have and said what the hell.

This day started off super busy and now it’s tailed off, so i’m quietly jamming to Glee while some are watching bball games…tuh.

So this am I made Baked Oatmeal, I think i’ve made it every morning, I don’t have any pictures but I do have a link to the recipe! Go on over to Chocolate-Covered Katie and bake up her lovely creation!

I’m all about blog recipes lately because last night my dad was kind enough to make Spinach Artichoke Lasagna Bundles….OMG so yum! I had it for lunch today too! I stumbled on this blog called Beth’s Journey and you can find the recipe here!

Now it’s almost 3pm and I have two hours left at work, and then a lovely hour commute but at least it’s Friday tomorrow!

Side note/question: WHY can’t I find “big ass heart” from this week’s Glee episode on itunes?! Any answers that leads me to a download would be amazing!

Workout Wednesday

Happy Hump Day!!

So last night I watched Glee for maybe the 2nd time in my life and I have to say I died laughing and then proceeded to download all the songs from the episode!

I remember in college when I lived in a suite and one of my suitemates would turn up the stereo in the common room and just start dancing to get some exercise in for the day.

That little memory inspired this week’s playlist…songs that make you want to get up and dance.

Hopefully you can bust a move with this playlist like I will be!

I don’t know what to write…

besides the fact that I’m really excited for Friday for two reasons.

1. it’s the start of my weekend


2. I’m going to try out a spin class here! They’re about 30 mins away from home and 20 minutes from work, so I decided that it’s probably easier to go from work.

This Friday this having a movies music themed class, i’m totally stoked for it!

This is the place. They’ve got these awesome combo classes, where you do 45 minutes of spin, then 30 or 45 minutes of yoga, a weight class, a barre class…I ❀ the variety I just hate that it’s so far from home!

I’ll definitely post a review on Friday!!

This whole daylight savings thing is cramping my style..

I woke up and looked at my clock, it said 7:04..I closed my eyes and said i’ll sleep another hour….

welp an hour and a half later it was 9:30 am….damn you daylight savings.

My Mom and I had plans to visit this little breakfast place I heard about on Yelp. I felt so tired and my mom was totally surprised by the time too that we decided to try next week and stay in today.

We watched some Housewives of Miami, some Designed to Sell, some other HGTV shows and it was already 3pm! ugh.

I decided I wasn’t going to do much today so I decided to watch “9” on HBO on demand.


I remember seeing trailers in the movies and I was like I have to see this…i’m quite a nerd when it comes to post-apocalypitc movies, not like scary ones, but somewhat realistic ones. aka I cannot wait for The Hunger Games

Anyways the movie was fantastic…I highly suggest you rent it.

I continued my day of laziness with my dogs and finally bit in to my petite treat from Starbucks.

I got the Birthday Cake Pop, and even after a day I took a bite and the cake was amazingly delicious, it was not in the least bit dry. It really reminded me of funfetti.

Even Lula wanted a bite!

Welp it’s time for me to repaint my nails, pick an outfit out for tomorrow and continue watch the West Wing..

Live from Starbucks

I’m not going to lie, my title makes me feel like the female version of Anderson Cooper.

I had to make my way to starbucks because of the free petite treat deal…I mean come on who can pass on a birthday cake pop and a skinny vanilla latte…Not me.

P.S. You have till 5pm today to get your free petite treat 

I watched Morning Glory last night and I have to say it was your typical rom-com but it made me laugh so I was happy with it, my dad totally zonked out minute 5 of the movie.



I was able to sleep until 9am this morning, I was talking with a co-worker yesterday saying that I could only sleep till 7am but alas I made it to 9 which made me feel super refreshed.

I finally made it to the gym around noon, I explained to my mom how I found it to be quiet around that time, well I guess today was opposite day, it was jam packed!

I finished my first week of speed training. I’m not using any fancy schmancy training program, I’m actually using the C25k training plan but kicking it up major regarding speed. If anyone has any suggestions for better training plans feel free to share :). If you’re new to the running scene I highly suggest this training plan, it’s not overwhelming and it’s amazing how you feel after week one alone.

After the gym I spent my 10 minute car ride home thinking about what I wanted to eat for lunch, I was so close to going to subway but in a last minute decision I went straight home with the lovely idea of a panini!

The panini is stuffed with basil + red pepper grilled chicken, with zucchini and a slice of pepper jack cheese, I used Arnold something-grain for the bread. 

I paired the panini with a sodastream seltzer with a slice of lemon and my take on the farro salad I had last night. I made a chickpea salad with cucumbers and let it sit in some balsamic. 

The whole meal was delish if I do say so myself. 

I ❀ the weekends because it’s my time to relax, get a good workout, and to actually cook!

March Madness is upon us and BYU aka Jimmer Fredette aka hometown hero around here…is playing tonight and I think i’ll be going out to watch the game and down casually drink a blue moon πŸ™‚

who are you rooting for during March Madness?

I for one am a HUGE Michigan State bball fan, so I’ll be rooting for them and good ol’ BYU because who doesn’t like boasting about the leading scorer, talked about on espn all the time, most likely player of the year who came from the next town over bball star…I mean come on you would too!

I must say I am quite happy to see Friday. After 5 days worth of lame commuting and long days i’m ready to kick back and relax.

Anyways I’ve decided to start training for a Triathlon, specifically the Nation’s Tri. I’m still looking for a good training schedule so if you know of any please share πŸ™‚

I found that I need to shake things up in the exercise department so i’m hoping the variety of training for a Tri will help get me out of the funk I’m currently in.

We just got back from Uno’s bar and grill and I must say I was happy with my meal, I had the lemon basil salmon with steamed veggies annnd this amazing farro salad…if you go there, you need to get the farro salad, it’s delish!

In other news, what’s going on in Japan is wild right now and I hope things get better over there soon.

Plans for the weekend?

Welp I just popped in Morning Glory, so i’m going to pay attention to that and finish my ice cream πŸ™‚
